On 8 and 9 July 2021, the German Sustainability Summit 2021 took place as an interactive virtual event. As part of the Summit, the German Committee for Sustainability Research presented its new position paper, which is to be developed into a joint research agenda for the coming years. Dr. Jana Zscheischler (ZALF) was invited to comment on the position paper.
She focused on the new challenges for scientists as well as the normative dimensions in transformative sustainability research. Other commentators included Prof. Dr. Melissa Leach (University of Sussex) and Prof. Dr. Raphael Ziegler (HEC Montreal). The Summit continued the series of German Future Earth Summits organised by DKN.
